The SSH app with speed & style

Prompt is the terminal that goes where you do, whether you're on the road or at your desk. With Panic Sync, your servers are available on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. And with Mosh and Eternal Terminal support, you can stay connected even on the most unstable networks. Welcome to Prompt 3. For over a decade, Prompt has been the best SSH terminal on iOS and iPadOS, and we're excited to finally release a much-requested Mac version. But that's not all. With two new connection types, port forwarding, and a faster terminal, Prompt is better than ever. • Superfast SSH We retooled the text engine in Prompt 3 to be up to 10x faster, and with improved terminal emulation, you can run nvim inside tmux without breaking a sweat. • Clips Put your most-used commands and text bits into clips and access them with a single tap via Prompt’s keyboard bar. Clips can be stored globally or per-server. • Secure Enclave Authenticate with FaceID and TouchID. The keys will stay secure on your device. • Panic Sync Sync your favorite servers, passwords, private keys, and clips, between Prompt on all of your iOS devices. • Customizable Make Prompt perfect with new themes, fonts, and a very configurable iOS keyboard. • Jump Hosts and Agent Forwarding Access corporate servers, even at the beach. • Mosh and Eternal Terminal Keep your terminal open, even when you get disconnected. Mosh is optimized for high-latency, low-throughput networks. Eternal Terminal is great for when you need to keep your full terminal history on a flaky connection. • Mouse Support Use your mouse to interact with TUI-based apps that run through the terminal. AND YES, A DARK ICON. What more can we say? TAKE CONTROL FROM ANYWHERE, NOW INCLUDING YOUR MAC. WE HOPE YOU ENJOY PROMPT 3. © Panic EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/}

These guys promised a perpetual license with prompt 2 and what they call lifetime will be removed from the App Store when they’re ready to panhandle for prompt 4

oder 99 €. Also soviel ist mir ein Terminal für die paar Mal Benutzung nicht wert. Gelöscht.

I’ve lost access to my previous purchases of coda, transmit and prompt. Now even with prompt 3 losing all functionality I paid for in the past… while having to buy a new version is pretty disappointing.

I paid for expensive Prompt license (previous version) and it does not support xterm-256colors decoding anymore for new servers making it useless. The earlier version of app is not support on App Store :(

Been a user of Panic apps for a long time. Prompt 3 is what eliminated any desire to continue to be a Panic customer. In the “Limited Free Mode”, you can’t access any features beyond manually typing an address/username/password every time you want to connect. Prompt 2 stopped receiving updates and was removed from the App Store in favor of this new version with either a subscription of $20/year or a $99 “lifetime” license. $99 for an SSH app is outrageous. That’s 10x the price of Prompt 2’s license. If I buy this, what guarantee do I have that I won’t have to buy Prompt 4 in 5 years once my value as a customer has run out? I’ll pass on finding out and go find another SSH app and developer.

They deleted their old app for the app store so now I can't even sync it to my new iPhone. 1-star rating is well deserved, do not give them money they'll just release Prompt 4 😂😂😂

Really excellent simple, accurate ssh client! Panic sync is great. Honestly five stars, but the lack of a setting for alt-key-as-meta support on iOS/iPadOS hardware keywords makes it 50% less usable for my remote development needs, and kind of negates much of the reason I purchased a subscription…

Prompt 3 is just a clone of prompt 2 that I bought years ago. Now prompt 2 is not available on the app store and I have to pay a subscription or $99 for this app. Really disappointed, I do not recommend, save money and go for another app 100% on the app store

Note: In Prompt 3.1, we switched control-space to use the system-wide shortcut to change input languages. If you use control-space in emacs, you can disable this behavior by enabling "Capture Control-Space" in Prompt's keyboard settings. • Addressed a potential crash after a default theme is assigned in 'Advanced Server Settings' • Emulation: Improved box-drawing for command-line applications • Added a setting to allow ctrl-space to switch keyboard input languages • Addressed visual issues with terminal output when using "Light" theme and system appearance with GPU Acceleration enabled • Fixed a crash when changing the default font
