Just terrible overall. The etext is a literal low res JPG, the app is frustrating to use, and it’s just overall a poor experience. If you’re a teacher please look into using OpenStax textbooks or something similar.

The search button is useless and a waste of time. Awful layout which makes it difficult to study.

Purtroppo, rispetto alla app precedente, la funzionalità è peggiorata. Su iPad non riesco a leggere in orizzontale perché le pagine vengono tagliate in basso. Mentre uso zoom o cerco una pagina, improvvisamente si chiude. Qualche anno fa riuscivo ad usare solo gli eBook, ora sono costretta a portare tutti i libri a scuola .

Come al solito app pessima, non permette di visualizzare gli esercizi corretti perché viene mostrata sullo schermo la dicitura “impossibile scaricare le risorse”. Inoltre la visualizzazione di una qualsiasi pagina presenta miriadi di bug grafici. Ovviamente come è sempre successo questa recensione verrà ignorata, facendo sì che questi problemi si ripercuotano su noi poveri studenti.

I first started using this app in high school, and continue to do so in college. I really appreciate being able to read my books whether I have access to a computer or not. It also allows me to quickly access a certain page in the book if I have to. I do wish that we could access the Mastering assignments on here, which is why I have deducted one star.

I cannot stress you how bad the interface is! I have trouble toggling between one page and two page view on my iPad. This app magically decides if I want to read in one page view one day and two page view another. I have looked everywhere on this app to find a way to view it in one page view because it’s better for split view on my iPad. I can’t seem to find in. I’ve wasted countless hours by now trying to zoom into words every time I switch from writing notes and back to the eText because it just won’t let me view it in one page view where the clarity is much better. Update: the only solution to having it in one page view is to uninstall and reinstall the app. It only works until you rotate the screen. The app then keeps you in two page view until it decides it wants you to view in one page. I’m very frustrated in this. Another bug is when I rotate my iPad, the book just flips to random pages. This is quite annoying because I have to constantly go back to the table of contents and find the page I was on earlier. Edit: it’s been months since I’ve written the above. Still no fix to my issue. I’ve resorted to displaying the textbook on my monitor and using my iPad simultaneously. I have to crane my neck back and forth between my iPad to take notes and to the monitor to read. I wish there wasn’t a problem with the app not allowing me to switch from single page view so that split screen on my iPad would actually work.

This app worked perfect the first three months then they forced me to update to access my textbook and then the app never worked again after that. I started freaking out because at the time I had no other way to access my textbook and had assignments due. So not reliable and the app still does not work correctly for me, but the support does not care. 0 stars if possible

I love this online version of a textbook. What a great option! Pearson really went out of their way to make it easy to use. I love the multiple highlighting tool colours for note taking. It is easy to search for content and find your page and “flip” through the pages. Working with traditional text books and this one has been an eye opener for me... Kids seem less intimidated and more engaged when they aren’t battling a book. I will be looking to get all my texts online from now on. The only downside is that the book spread was formatted wrong (textbook facing pages are not formatted correctly, so when there are two pages that were meant to be seen together, they do not appear side by side – if they made this simple change, it would be hands down 5 stars). Great work, Pearson! Thank you for this excellent learning resource!
