I’ve been with Rapsodo for over 5 years now using their products for hitters and pitchers and their ability to provide instant feedback to hitters and pitchers is extremely helpful to help players work hard during offensive session and shape pitches during bullpens. I’ve had division 1 coaches and pro scouts ask for reports and data from bullpens and offensive sessions to help them make the right decisions on players which is really cool to have that verification. I am a perfectionist and the company has done a great job mastering the product and the app to meet high expectations and done it with grace. Haylie, Ethan, and Jordan have done a phenomenal job along with the rest of the company. If you’re on the fence about this product, don’t be, it’s a no brainer. It will make your hitting and pitching sessions more productive and more fun for the players immediately. -Mark

Currently can’t use the device as it is doing false triggers? Tech says it is due to air flow which you’d think facilities have fans and A/c so why have it so sensitive . The old one I had was better even though it hardly worked at all. This one is worse, spent a whole bunch of money along with sending the old device back. Luckily I kept the old software price for a year. This isn’t worth the money and needs to be retested. It hasn’t read one swing correct and will constantly process swings that aren’t happening claiming “foul ball” or “misread”. At least the customer service is nice and helpful with what they can control, so we appreciate them.

Have had an account for over four years, and it seems as if rhapsody has never been able to figure out how to make their own product work. I enter the correct password and it says incorrect, then I change it and enter the new one and it says incorrect again. Then my account is blocked when I only tried to sign in a few times each with the correct password only and then I unblock it and have the same problem and keep changing the password only for it to be “incorrect” again.

I’ve had the Rapsodo Pro 2.0 Hitting and Pitching device since June 13th, but so far I haven’t been able to get past the firmware install loop that pops up every time I try to use this device with the Rapsodo Baseball App. I’ve uninstalled and re-installed the Rapsodo Baseball App at least 6 times, have the most recent iPad iOS update, with a 5th generation iPad Pro, and every time it gets an error with installing the firmware, followed by an on screen message that says this problem is being addressed. I was told by one of Rapsodo’s customer service representatives that there would be some type of update this past week (the week of 6/24 to 6/28) to address this firmware loop problem, but as of the writing of this review (6/30/2024) there has not been any update by Rapsodo. At this point, with the cost of the team subscription, it has become a $6,000 piece of equipment without any utility. The Rapsodo Baseball app and Rapsodo Pro 2.0 device were clearly not ready for launch. EDIT (03/18/2025): Giving a brief update to the Rapsodo Pro 2.0. I hate to be that guy, but I cannot recommend this device to anyone at this point, especially for how much it costs between the device and the membership. For the money, it just has way too many misreads and disconnections from the iPad to be useful. We did a 30 pitch session outside this afternoon, and it read only 15 pitches. In addition to the misreads, it disconnected from the iPad 6 times during the same 30 pitch session, when it’s 20 feet from the iPad. Pitching on the Pro 2.0 definitely seems to have more misreads than the hitting, but the hitting has its fair share as well. I’d say if you have any plans to buy this device for outdoor use, save your money and do not buy it.

Upgraded from Pitching 2.0 to Pro 2.0 and the device was not ready to be launched. I’ve been in contact with Rapsodo for two weeks (they’ve been helpful), but the device doesn’t work. Started with not having the right account and had to transfer to “Pro”. No way to do that online, had to have them do it for me. You’d think there’d be a place online to get a “Pro” plan. Then the device wouldn’t connect to the app. It would claim the serial number didn’t match the device I was scanning despite them being perfect matches on my account and the device, so I couldn’t connect to the device. Next, they’ve pushed multiple app updates attempting to get the firmware to update properly on the app, but nothing they’ve done can get the firmware update to transfer to the device correctly. Just a “something went wrong, try again later message” and it’s been like that for days. You’d think for the thousands of dollars invested, the company would’ve tested their product thoroughly for the launch, so the coaches that trust their product can properly use it for reliable player development. Now I have to put a portion of my income on hold because a produce I use is unreliable. Hopefully they get this fixed so I don’t own a $5,000 paper weight

Upgraded to Rapsodo Pro 2.0 and thus far, we cannot even do a hitting session because the device cannot stay connected to the internet long enough to do a firmware update. We were pretty happy with the Rapsodo Hitting 2.0. It was buggy and slow to set up, but it worked most of the time. We hoped we wouldn’t have so many misreads and more seamless user interface with the Rapsodo Pro 2.0, but as of yet, we are still unable to use it. This all speaks to issues with quality control when rolling out a new device like this. I cannot imagine this thing worked correctly prior to being shipped. I will update this review if they respond back to me about it and we are able to get the firmware update figured out.
