It froze approving a payment. Removed App. Tried to download again and it just shows the wheel-of-death and nothing happens. I can’t even stop it to delete and try again.

So to make a payment now you have to log on with face id, confirm you're happy to pay, confirm you're really sure, confirm your details and enter your id number, get sent text and then enter the opt...five steps for regular payments is massive overkill.

It’s 2025. The app is modern in the way of aesthetics but where’s smart notifications? Where have the email notifications gone when a deposit is made? I had everything set up so I knew when a client had paid and now they no longer send emails and there’s no options for notifications to your phone. Such a basic app in 2025. It’s obvious no money is invested in it, I guess that’s because lots of us have free business banking from way back in the day so they can’t be bothered. With Monzo and starling offering business accounts setup working minutes I’ll be moving away due to these app limitations.

The banking app works fine, but the biggest let down is the lack of payment notifications. All other banking apps provide this, but why not on the Santander business app?

There really needs to be a search option so you can find payees easier. It means there’s a lot of scrolling involved. Another issue is the glitch that kicks in when you scroll. Hopefully this gets amended soon

So…..I used to love this ap, used it all the time, then I did the last update and now it’s just the spinning wheel of death. Doesn’t function at all, very annoying.

How about popping a search facility in the app? I end up having to scroll back through previous transaction to find if/who/what is paid in/out. What makes this more frustrating is the screen display doesn't cope with scrolling, it flickers as it tries to keep up with data input. The search facility in the santander personal mobile banking app is a v good example.

The app developers & management need to look at other banking apps that offer more features rather than hyperlinks to the website and massively improve cancelling cards which with other banks can be frozen IN APP. The below is what you have to do with a Santander Card via the Business App 🤦‍♂️ 1. Go to the help section and click on Lost/Stolen Card in the Business App. 2. This button is actually a hyperlink that takes you to the website where you have to log in, that requires authentication from the app. 3. The app won’t recognise this if already open, so you have to quit the Business app and reopen it to authenticate your log in which means you lose the steps on how to cancel the card which tells you to ask the chat on the website to cancel the card. 4. The chat doesn’t cancel the card, instead it tells you to call a number which you can’t just click on you have to write down again. 5. The number if called out of hours tells you lines are closed first (I had to call it twice to listen to full message in a hurry to cancel a card), if you stay on the call it then says ‘dial 1 if you’ve lost your card’. Then you’re on hold. How did anyone at this bank allow this to be the procedure to cancel a card? 5 steps to cancel a card in a time urgent situation? Someone signed off on this. This whole system needs an urgent overhaul, if this has been allowed to be as it is for so long maybe a new team with some life experience needs to step in as it’s way out of date and broken. Then at the end of the call the rep had to give me a speech about phishing with no mention of AI scams 🤦‍♂️ Santander we’re in 2025 not 2015
