The way the openings are organised is very complicated and a real headache to use.

Interface could do with a tweak or two and I hope that will come in time. But for serious chess players, aspiring players and those who just love the game, this app is amazing. It is a real must have app for anyone wanting to develop an opening repertoire. The search could be better - it would be good to have full position searches, this could help with transpositions. It has some name and text search, but a fuller one would help people who knew what they wanted but didn’t know the ECO ref. And a better diagrammatic tree like the ECO books would help enormously. Even so, it contains some very useful information and is well worth the small cost. However it is by no means perfect, a few parts of the opening tree don’t load, for example the Tal variation of the Caro-Kann hasn’t loaded for me just now. All the rest of the Caro-Kannada seems to work

As of now, this app is one of those chess opening app with full of opening ideas and annotated grandmaster games. But this app is not user friendly. You need to type what opening you already know so that it will search for that opening. Much better if added feature such as enter opening moves on the board (not in the search box) then the app will automatically search for particular variation base on the move order entered. If this is added +1. The engine is also not updated. Much better is Stockfish 11. If this is added +1. Much better if this app has an opening plan explorer, so that you can already see the idea of opening variation on the board. For this, +1 if added. Much better if this app enables you to train your opening, there is a replay traning for your opening and can save to PGN and can be exported to your email. If this is added, +1. Overall score, 1. For opening reference with engine and annotated gm games +1. User friendly search = 0/1 Updated engine = 0/1 Opening plan explorer and idea = 0/1 Opening replay training with PGN export = 0/1 Final and overall score 1/5 or 20%. This is not what I’ve paid for. Please improve your chess app and update it. Otherwise, 1 star for a paid app is a bad rating. Advance thanks if the developer will add those features. Otherwise, this is not helpful.
