Keep your mind sharp with word and logic puzzles from New York Times Games. Free to download, the app offers new puzzles daily for every skill level. App Features and Games: NEW: STRANDS Our latest game lets you find hidden words and uncover the day’s theme. It’s the word search you know, with a twist. WORDLE Play the original Wordle — created by Josh Wardle — in our app. Guess the 5-letter word in 6 tries or less, and analyze your guesses with Wordle Bot. SPELLING BEE Is scrambling your strong suit? Play the daily Spelling Bee and see how many words you can make with 7 letters. THE CROSSWORD Subscribers can play the same daily puzzle that’s printed in The New York Times, in our app. Crosswords increase in difficulty throughout the week. CONNECTIONS Group words with a common thread. See if you can do it with four mistakes or fewer. SUDOKU Looking for a numbers game, minus the math? Play Sudoku and fill each 3x3 set of boxes with numbers 1 to 9. Play a new puzzle every day in easy, medium or hard mode. THE MINI CROSSWORD The Mini is all the fun of The Crossword, but you can solve it in seconds. These word puzzles don’t increase in difficulty throughout the week and feature simpler clues. TILES Unwind while you match elements in the day’s pattern — the key is to make consecutive matches. LETTER BOXED Create words using letters around the square. Letter Boxed is another fun way to test your word-making skills. STATS Track your progress for The Crossword, Wordle and Spelling Bee. For The Crossword, monitor your average solve times, see how many puzzles you can solve in a row, and more. Plus follow your streak on Wordle, and track how often you reach each level in Spelling Bee. LEADERBOARDS Start a friendly competition with The Mini leaderboards. Add up to 25 friends to see who can solve today’s Mini puzzle the fastest. PUZZLE ARCHIVE Subscribers can now solve over 10,000 past puzzles from Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee and The Crossword. DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONS: You can purchase a monthly or annual New York Times Games subscription. As a subscriber, you’ll enjoy the full Wordle experience, plus Spelling Bee, The Crossword and more. See our subscription offers for further details. The Spelling Bee is my favorite. Next I like Wordle. I find Connections to be difficult and sometimes too opaque for me! All in all the puzzles entertain me and distract me from the horrible political scene!

The crossword needs to reset at midnight along with everything else. Not at 6 in the evening.

NYT has helped manufacture the moral panic about trans people. The people who make the most money off this app need to do some serious self-reflection on why they feel so threatened by trans people. 🏳️‍⚧️🩷🏳️‍⚧️🩷🏳️‍⚧️🩷🏳️‍⚧️🩷🏳️‍⚧️

Needs a way to login with existing nyt Apple accounts that have subscriptions in the game app.

I use to be able to play Wordle for free but it can’t. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the same. This is crazy. And if it’s because I need to subscribe then I guess I’ll delete the app. I have no interest in subscribing to anything.

I play several of the games with friends and we share scores. However, when completing The Mini crossword, there is an option to share the score to Messenger, but, if you use it, It just provides a link to the puzzle, it doesn’t actually share your score.

I do a few different games every day but normally at night. It started refreshing the mini crossword early so I just suffered with one of my games being for a different day and not being able to finish it if I don’t finish in the morning. But now my sudoku is refreshing early too?? And today I opened the app at 5pm and they were already refreshed for the next day 😭😭 I just wanted to finish my sudoku I started this morning. It makes me so angry and upset. I ordered a puzzle/games book online now :(

I am happy with this app except on the weekends. On Saturday and Sunday if I don’t play before 4:00 pm Pacific time I lose that days games. Today it happened before 4:00 pm. There is no way that I know of to retrieve that day’s games. This does not happen Monday-Friday. Very aggravating!

Second to none. Real craft and art go into the puzzles and the app pulls them all together with everything you can want including fun stats. Brings joy like no other app
