Leading The Way also produces DVDs, CDs, books, a monthly devotional magazine, and daily e-devotionals to reach the lost and encourage believers in their faith. The ministry utilizes field ministry teams to evangelize seekers and disciple new believers. Dr. Youssef’s unique perspective has given him a platform to speak boldly into today’s issues and provide Biblical solutions to the challenges Christians are facing every day.
Today, billions of people worldwide have the opportunity to hear the Truth of Christ daily through Leading The Way’s international outreach. Leading The Way’s global teaching programs have been designed with an international audience in mind, made possible by Dr. Youssef’s thorough cross-cultural understanding and firm grasp of Scripture. For those cut off from the Gospel—whether confined to remote areas or living in countries where following Christ is dangerous—Leading The Way has discovered that technology, coupled with in-country staff and strategic partnerships, powerfully reach the masses who have otherwise been cut off from the message of Jesus Christ.
Leading The Way offers dynamic programming in 28 of the most spoken languages. Through dual-language programming, Dr. Youssef’s teachings are translated line-by-line, with a line of English followed by a line in another language—an effective tool for reaching English-learners. Leading The Way also utilizes dubbed television programs.
Dr. Michael Youssef was born in Egypt and lived in Lebanon and Australia before coming to the United States and fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming an American citizen. He holds degrees from Moore College in Sydney, Australia, and Fuller Theological Seminary in California, with a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from Emory University. He founded The Church of The Apostles in 1987 with fewer than 40 adults with the mission to "Equip the Saints and Seek the Lost." The church has since grown to a congregation of over 3000. This church on a hill was the launching pad for Leading The Way's international ministry.
