Breaker-one

I’m an astrophotographer and I absolutely love Luminos Pro. Half the time I use it just to wander around the sky — the map is so smooth and detailed. The other half, it’s helping me plan my next imaging target with really solid visibility charts and object info. I’ve tried pretty much every astronomy app out there, and this one just feels a cut above. It’s feature-packed but never clunky, and everything runs buttery smooth. I liked it so much I went straight for the lifetime pass instead of the subscription. The only thing that would make it even better (and this definitely not a deal-breaker) would be the ability to transfer FOV and camera rotation into the NINA framing wizard in real time — maybe by emulating the relevant parts of the Stellarium RemoteControl plugin’s HTTP API. That kind of integration would take it from amazing to unbeatable. If you’re into astronomy or astrophotography, this is hands down the best skymap experience IMHO.

App is fantastic, especially when using to control a telescope. Settings up to control my AP mount took 2 seconds and worked perfectly. UI is also great

Lifetime member and worth every cent! As an avid astronomy buff, I have tried just about all of the sky map apps over the last decade or so and this is still my favorite and just keeps getting better. So easy to find what I am looking for without having to repeatedly bring up multiple menus, etc.. This latest update addressed a small oversight in past versions; we now have distances for globular clusters. CheerZ!

I've been using this app for years and I just love it. It has everything you can imagine and much more and it is even constantly growing. I've tried several other apps on iPad and PC, but this one is truly the very best. Everything works greatly and very user friendly. And if a problem ever arises out of the millions of possibilities: a quick email to John and the problem will be solved. Thank you for this wonderful app, your excellent service and your knowledge.

I’ve been a user of the original Luminos for many years and finally made the jump to pro. I particularly like the today planner and seeing imaging/viewing sizes with my various equipment & camera combinations. The new object elevation/ weather chart is intuitive and helpful. I’m happy to help support the developers of this great product.

For all its promised databases, the program fails to show any deep sky objects despite them all being turned on with labels. Not one shows up. Do they require a paid subscription to see?

Sky Guide y Sky safari son mejores y más rápidos, luminos pro cuando cierras la aplicación tienes qué reiniciar el móvil, y a parte es muy caro.

This major update brings powerful new features and refinements across the app. The sky now looks more realistic than ever thanks to a new high-resolution Earth atmosphere model with smoother color gradients. Sky View supports dynamic text sizes for better readability, and you can now import Observer Pro horizon files (.hrz) for precise local horizons. Telescope control has gained major improvements: Luminos Pro now supports game controllers (joysticks), adds pulse guiding for many telescope models, and introduces Touch Guiding for intuitive control without needing to look at the screen. Observation settings are easier to access, and Hour Angle is now included in all objects’ Live Data. There are also many fixes and interface improvements throughout the app — from better layouts on small screens to smoother tracking markers and more consistent colors. Crashes in city and field-of-view editors have been resolved, Uranus’ rings are visible again, and numerous display and navigation bugs have been eliminated. Thank you for sharing your crash reports and helping make Luminos Pro better with every release.
