I just bought an iPad that I’m primarily using as a digital planner, and I saw this app suggested in r/ipad (Reddit) so I downloaded it and I love its functionality. But what I love even more than all the awesome features it already has is that the creator has created a Reddit space (r/penjoapp) for users to ask questions and suggest improvements, and the creator is incredibly responsive. They let you know if something is on the roadmap for future updates and will tell you any workarounds that you can use in the meantime. They respond so quickly too. I’m someone with a lot of social anxiety but I feel comfortable starting a conversation with the creator about what I’d like to see in future updates. I highly suggest downloading this app and joining the Reddit community!

I have tried every pencil calendar/journal out there. Penjo delivers everything I find important. Simplicity and powerful tech under the hood. It’s like using a paper calendar integrated with your digital one. iCloud sync for all your devices is the bomb. Easy entry on the iPad and nicely viewable on my iPhone. Truly love it!

I have premium Penjo, on both my iPhone and iPad mini. I usually write on the calendar on my iPad and then view on my phone sometimes. When I viewed on my phone earlier today, the calendar was empty, and I noticed it also saved. Then I checked my calendar on my iPad and everything was gone too. I am extremely upset. I would like my money back.

I was so hopeful I purchased the lifetime option. It did bring be in the calendar! And reminders! But! If you want to use it on more than one device forget it. I have an iPad iPhone and Mac. It was a hot mess. Uninstalls, reinstalls, crashes… one notebook (my original) won’t even open now. iCloud sync on for all devices. Only 1 page of notes! I went to the support page… you guessed it. “OOPS that page cannot be found”. I will submit for a refund.

Was mir definitiv fehlt sind Icons wie bei goodnotes Vielleicht kann man zukünftig links erstellen Ich arbeite derzeit mit goodnotes man kann die Programme zwar nicht miteinander vergleichen jedoch Funktionen die nützlich erscheinen können das Programm verbessern

EDIT: It’s three weeks after I wrote my opinion and you already fixed it! Now the exported PDFs look clean and sharp! Thank you for your quick response. You really value your users very much :) I’m rating you five stars as I promised. But please take a look at exporting whole notebooks, when I try to export my notebook with multi-page long notes on eleven non-consecutive days it crashes. I assume it’s a transient problem and you’ll be able to fix it in no time :) Fantastic app! I love using Apple Notes pens and pencils but I found infinite scrolling troublesome. I prefer to divide long page into sheet-like pages. And this app has it all and even more! Different backgrounds, different covers makes navigating between various notebooks pleasant and intuitive. Why only three stars, you may ask? I tried exporting whole notebook into PDF. The option to export all pages, not only “one day” but whole notebook is hard-to-find. And what is unacceptable is the low quality of the hand-written notes. They are exported as images, not vectors - and even without zooming in they are blurred. I made some screenshots of my notes in the app and compared to the PDF, they look clean and sharp! I hope it’s just some bug and will be fixed soon. I can’t stand using an app and being unable to export inserted data (here: my notes) in easy and clean way. I paid for full app to support the developer. And I hope that with a premium access will come a premium experience. Thank you! After the feature is fixed I’ll change my rate to five stars, blurred PDFs are only thing that stops me ;)

I have only recently started using this app. I wish there were more how-to things available for using the features or trouble shooting issues. There are a lot of great options but not much help in sorting them out (and you only get to see it once before the tip is gone for good). For instance, if you want to cut a photo with the shape, you need to upload them one at a time, cutting the shape first before adding in the second photo, otherwise the option vanishes. Little things like that. Some features I hope to see eventually implemented would be as follows: 1) Being able to set a default text preference yourself when you use the insert text box tool. If I change the style/colour/size, I then have to change those options every time I put a new box in if I want it to match. It always goes back to the normal default that is different from what I changed it from. Or if there was a way it defaulted automatically to your last used preferences that would be great. It’s a bit time consuming, especially since you need to create numerous text boxes when you are working around fitting text between photos if you are going from a more scrap book appearance. 2) On that note…making it so the text would automatically go before and after a photo, so the photo isn’t over top of the text. Or at least having that be an option to toggle on and off the specific photo. 3) Being able to change the font/style/size of a specific word, instead of it changing it for the entire text box, by maybe being able to select the word and having the option to edit its colour/style/size etc. 4) Working out the kinks of selecting text would be nice too…I’m still not 100% sure how to do it. You would think being able to press over a word while editing text would allow you to select it, but nope. Have to do something with two fingers, and that is awkward while holding a phone, and it also rarely works properly. Then once you do have the selection option pop up, it selects the entire text box, and good luck being able to move it to select the word or sentence you want without moving the entire box instead…Not sure why this option is so wonky and difficult to use, but it really is, if you are using it on your phone at least.
