The subscription doesn’t appear on your Apple account, so you think you are not going to be charged after the trial. But you are!! Be careful with these anti-consumer practices.

Don’t download this app! They trick you into paying for it, and then the AI tutor suddenly stops working properly. Calls freeze, it doesn’t respond to what you say - just a bunch of issues. This app is a money grab. You’re paying to train the AI model, which will supposedly get better with time. But that essentially means it will get better as more people pay to use a glitchy app that is learning from them. And on top of all of that, they don’t offer any ways to cancel your subscription. I signed up for a subscription and it’s not showing up on my Apple subscriptions. And when you try the link, they tell you that they’ll send an email (which you won’t actually receive). Customer service won’t respond to emails either 🫠 Do yourself a favor and avoid this app and any of the AI language tutor apps at all costs.

The app does not have free trial or anything and making me pay the package immediately. The A.I chat box cuts me when I speak, even more terrible experience when they don’t have the in-app assistance and non refundable if I purchase with Apple pay. I emailed to have the support but receive no response. Although the app teaches the actual language and works pretty fast, the rest is terrible because I can’t even log into my apple account on a different device. Not recommend to nay of my family or friends.

This app keeps trying to charge me $50 for the subscription cause I tried the free trial. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, except the subscription DOESN’T SHOW UP ON MY APPLE ACCOUNT. Additionally, it’s near impossible to delete your account, because there’s no button to do so. And in order to delete your account you have to contact the through email, to which they haven’t responded.

I still have a human tutor once a week but LingoTok fills the gaps between sessions. Unlimited practice whenever I want. I cọme to my lessons more prepared now because I've been actively speaking Portuguese all week instead of just reviewing flashcards. My tutor actually asked what I've been doing differently. The AI obviously isn't a replacement for human instruction but as a supplement? Pretty good.

They charged me after I deleted the app before my free trial was done without authorization.

I signed up for the free trial assuming I could cancel if needed. However, the subscription did not appear on Apple and there is no way to cancel in app. I deleted the app, thinking that would stop the app from charging me. IT STILL CHARGED ME. Also the actual functionality of the app is just not good. It doesn’t even work as advertised.

She keeps verbally asking me to say “lunch” in Spanish (almuerzo) yet the text asks “how do you say go to bed? Or how do you say I go to work?” It’s annoying I paid money for this and she keeps messing up!
