This is my first time using Zillow Rental , so I am still learning. However, it shows the next step which I have to do. Hopefully I will have a good tenant and learn more about Zillow.

Zillow has made this whole process so much easier than it used to be. Easy to upload photos, edit the listing, screening applicants, communication… everything.

Not sure where all the good reviews are coming from. The app is clunky and payment is worse. Applications and the walkthrough are a maze of forms that aren’t explained and nothing is organized well. It takes 7-10 days from payment initiation to deposit, which by then the rent is good and late. Zillow takes 5-7 days accept payment, then ACH takes another 2-3 days. They don’t tell you that at all! And if your tenant disputes any charges, it will always be found in their favor and you will be charged $10 for the trouble. Customer service is only via email and their agents do not seem to understand how rent works. I can’t update the due date to cover the amount of processing time in app, so I asked CS to do it. They changed the date, but skipped an entire month of rent, so now I have to contact my tenant to ask for a one off payment. Do yourself a favor and only accept checks or Zelle.

Please fix the press and hold bot captcha. Happens with almost every action on the app. I open a message, captcha, I mark a message, captcha, I go back to main menu to see listings, captcha. Is it necessary for it to be so frequent? Everything else seems ok. Desktop works better than the app. Submitting feedback is useless on the app since my issue is not one of the listed options. Seems to happen to many people too.

Issue is filtering in the messaging functionality I want to filter messages by property but the window does not have a scroll function but the “return” /“apply” button is not usable because of its position is below the edge Overall I am very keen on this app. I use it for scheduling viewings and so on. I used to use it for payments but the time lag is too long. Zillow obviously makes money on the “float” but since Zelle, PayPal, cash app etc are all immediate, the 7 day hold is excessive. Option to report to a credit agency may well bring me back (suggestion: Zillow should check what laws apply and I’d Zillow has the functionality then the app should highlight eg “ by selecting this you will comply with law x. By not selecting you acknowledge you will take care of it yourself” and then of course add all legal disclaimers)

They Hold your Money and don’t let it go!! While they make money off of it . It’s been over 60 days still haven’t seen my money from them! They say my tenant has to have his bank retract his payment but bank says there not able to and insist Zillow pay up. These guys are a bunch of crooks that steal your money. Don’t ever use them!
