Description (

This app does not represent a government entity. This and other FAA guidance documents are available at: https://www.faa.gov/training_testing/testing All pilots, whether they fly for pleasure, business, or as a career, must take a flight review to meet FAA currency requirements. The Flight Review Checkride app delivers valuable information in a question and answer flashcard format, providing an excellent study and preparation tool for pilots and instructors alike who are preparing for or issuing the flight review, which is required by FAA regulation 14 CFR 61.56. Based on the popular Flight Review Oral Exam Guide book by Jason Blair, flight instructors and FAA authorized flight review administrators will find this app to be extremely helpful in developing a well-rounded flight review tailored to the applicants' needs. Applicants will learn what to expect in their upcoming flight review, refresh their knowledge, and renew their confidence, all of which will ensure safe practices while in flight. Also includes current FAA guidance on flight reviews including AC 61-98 Currency Requirements and Guidance for the Flight Review and Instrument Proficiency Check, FAA Developing Personal Minimums, and FAA Over-the Counter (OTC) Medications Reference Guide. The flight review must include 1 hour of ground instruction as well as 1 hour of flight instruction. The information provided in this app may be used by instructors to fulfill these requirements. The FAA offers different options for completing the Flight Review, and this app covers all of these in detail. International pilots can use this app to help familiarize themselves with flight operations in the United States. This app includes the following features: • Information for Pilots wanting to fly without a medical certificate. • Information pertinent to today’s operational environment and areas of emphasis such as human factors, decision making, risk management and scenario-based training. • More than 300 questions supported with answers in flashcard format is an excellent refresher for the information pilots need to know on the following subjects: Certificates and Documents, Weather, Aircraft Operations, Flight Operations, and Regulations. • For instructors, helpful recommendations on how to conduct the flight review, with a synopsis of airman certification standards for the maneuvers at both the Private and Commercial level. • Compatible with iOS phones and tablets, this app teaches applicants not only what to expect, but also how to exhibit subject mastery and confidence. It identifies candidates’ strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in their aeronautical knowledge, which increases study efficiency. App features: • More than 300 questions are included in flashcard format with succinct, ready responses. • Questions from any subject can be flagged for further study into a separate group. • Includes all the questions and answers from the popular book, 9th Edition Flight Review Oral Exam Guide, by Jason Blair. • Brought to you by a trusted resource in aviation training and publishing, Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA).}

Thebidea is good, however on my samsung, the menu is blank. I literally have to count the rows down to where I left off and cannot read the contents. Once I select a category, I can read the questions, but I jave to guess at what cattegory I will het. Also its really annoying that if you select "view answer" and scroll down, if you scroll past the end it doesnt stop. It takes you back to the previous question. Ot can be difficult to tell if your at the end of the answer so this happens often

Initial boxes are blank. Clicking on one still brings me to the material, but I have to guess at which is which. Pretty shoddy for a paid program.
