I've used this app on several trips to the Lakes over a few years and it's great. Simple to use and very accurate. The best thing is that it only uses GPS to locate your position, so you can pinpoint where you are on the map when there is no mobile phone signal.

It is simple and does exactly what I need. The map is great for browsing at home and planning routes especially as we were not able to make our annual trip this year. When you are there you can quickly find your location on the map. I have used tracker apps which eat the battery. I am not interested in the statistics of a walk but just want to know where I am. I would like more information on place names, etc but maybe it would compromise the clarity of the map.

Thought by purchasing the paid app, there would.be something different from the free version, but nope, big disappointment, there are better free topo maps that cover all UK to same level of detail

My comment is to the creators... You claim that you have maximum zoom but I cannot zoom in more than 200 m on zoom.. why is this? The app is good for the lake district in itself but unfortunately you zoom in more than 200 m it just goes to Grey background? I'm starting to feel a little cheated it seems to be exactly the same as the standard version.

It was offline yet GPS worked! New toy for me, but wet phone hiking not great. Take care walking.

Update desperately needed. Waste of time using while out on a walk because the GPS jumps all over the place and doesn't know where you are. On the plus side it's a great app for having a look at routes if you already have a decent idea where you're going and just need to make sure

I got the pro version as seemed worth it for £1.79. Did what it was meant too, showed accurate location for walks on and around Great Gable, didn't need to get my OS map out at all. Very useful.

An excellent map of the Lake District mountains with a reliable GPS locator, good value and useful on the hills.

Great app for walking and having the pro it shows your GPS, helps if you miss a turn on a trail, very accurate
