There's not enough space here to describe how bad the cam and app are! 4k recording? yeah right! The app is painfully slow. It takes so long to review footage, and most of the time the preview won't even load so you can't find what you need anyway. Parking mode is a joke and I've turned it off due to draining my battery, despite it having "battery protection"! Customer service are uninterested and talk to you like rubbish - unless it was fitted by Halfords, they don't want to know! DO NOT BUY!

if you change the default WiFi password on your dash cam then you cannot connect using this app

Set-up is shockingly bad. Scanned the QR code for the "user manual", just directed me to their generic website. Downloaded one of their apps. That didn't connect. Downloaded a second one of their apps. Didn't work. Tried another phone. Tried factory resetting the dash cam. Guess what? Didn't work. I feel like I'm fairly competent with modern technology but sweet honking goose on a cracker, this dash cam set-up process had me pulling my hair out. Will be returning ASAP and getting my money back.

Turn Mobile Data & Bluetooth Off; "Car Ignition On": Open Halo Playback App; It Guides You to Turning WiFi On Then connects to Mobile to set Camera features (50ghz light flicker speed in UK); Parking / Continuous filming but uses battery faster, Usually saves enough life to start car 1st time if not Xxxxed. It's not the best camera but Halfords Sale price 😕. Maps stop working 2 months ago, probably an extra now? Will contact Road Angel find real reason, I hope.

Original Halo app refused to see dashcam, installed this one and immediately it connected. Works perfectly

bought a Halo Guard Dashcam.. supposed to monitor car battery usage and stop if it detects it's eating the battery. have a hybrid car. has already up to posting, drained the battery 3 times to such an extent that I had to open the car using the key and start using battery backup function to start it. have requested it be taken back and my money returned. when the app was working I could see deleted, download the files, but parking mode seemed to never pause recording....

app is pure dog water, doesn't work and doesn't connect well. buy a different cam simple as.
