How to Play Spades:
Spades is a popular trick-taking card game played with 4 players in teams of two. The game is played using a standard 52-card deck (no jokers).
Each player bids how many tricks they will win. You can also bid nil (0) if you haven't got good hands. If you bid nil(0) and won 0 tricks, you will get nil bonus but you won any tricks, you get negative penalty. You can also bid blind nil (bidding nil without looking at your cards). (This option can be disabled in settings).
One player starts by playing a card. The other players must play a card of the same suit if they have it. If they don’t, they can play spades.
Spades suit is always the strongest suit. Spades are trump cards and beat all other suits. Spades cannot be played until someone 'breaks spades' or you don't have the current suit played.
After all 13 tricks are played, teams earn points:
If your team wins at least as many tricks as you bid, you get points.
If your team wins fewer tricks than your bids, you lose points.
Taking extra tricks gives bonus points (called bags), but 10 bags can give a penalty.
The game continues until one team reaches the target score (usually 500 points). The team with the highest score wins.
