Skaka is a sample-based sequencer plug-in for shaken percussion instruments. What’s unique with Skaka is that its audio engine and sequencer handles samples with a defined musical start which makes it possible to set the intended timing of each shake in a natural way resulting in very lifelike rhythms. The sequencer and sample player engine are built from the ground up to facilitate the needed parameters and features for a lifelike percussive sound. Each event added to any of the 12 independent sequencers can control multiple parameters such as pitch, velocity (as in how fast the instrument is shaken) and envelope. It can also be synchronized to the tempo and playhead position of a host application. With full control over shuffle/swing amount, a complex humanizer settings panel, internal awareness of in and out shakes (yes, they sound different), using grids divided into triplets/quintuplets/septuplets, time fine-tuning and variable sequence lengths, Skaka can get very close to how a human percussionist would sound in almost any tempo without any use of degrading time stretching or similar techniques. In addition to the 12 sequencers and their internal parameters, there is a reverb, a room simulator, and a high shelf filter. Skaka comes with nearly 200 preset patterns covering most genres and styles. USAGE The main view shows 12 slots containing a sequencer and its parameters. These sequencers are started and stopped by MIDI Note On and Note Off (one for each MIDI note from C to B). To reveal and edit a sequencer’s events and parameters, tap the sequencer overview (in the middle of each slot). Despite it saying it has an AUV3 mode, I cannot select this as an instrument in Logic Pro for iPad.

Would be really REALLY awesome with the ability to save my own presets in iOS without having to resort to state saving... otherwise, top app as usual from KLVGR 👍🏼

Another gem from Klevgrand. I ve been missing an ios shaker app, but this thing is a complete polyrythmic sound design station. It 's very intuitive and you can go from classic shaked percussions to experimental textures and grooves . There is a lot of space for creative minds into this app. It s a 12 tracked percussion machine with independant 32 steps sequencers! The sequencers sections are very well designed and are very effective for beat sculpting. I was already in love with Ting but Skaka sounds even more natural in terms of interpretation. The humanizer is very convincing. So no matter if you re into sound experimentation or into traditional percussion this app is gonna make you start tracks from the sound of a shaker. This is a polyrythmic wonder machine! (Just wish it would have a random button for each track but just being peacky.)

I have no hesitation in giving this app a 5 ⭐️ review with clusters. The sonic quality of the multi sampled instruments are in a class of their own in my opinion. Couple that with the expansive degree of controller support within each sequence and very accurate time sync to Aum and you really have a very powerful instrument. The humanisation ,a highlight, and other control/expression functions are independent for each sequence (there a twelve sequences ) in any one preset. A combination of all of these facilities can add amazing movement to a percussion composition in a manner I haven’t really achieved before...it’s just great 👍 I definitely recommend reading the manual to get the best out of the instrument . Triggering sequences can be achieved by using notes from a pad or keyboards or AUM sources such as generative apps (very exciting rhythms) or by input via a sequencer. Jar alskar dig.......I love it Best Limbic 🙏🎩🎶🎶🦄👏👏⭐️
