DigiStix Drummer is an AUv3 compatible drum machine / sampler plugin for your favourite DAW. The program has a host of features which allow you to sample your own drumkits and trigger them either using a host application via MIDI or using the inbuilt pattern and song editor which automatically syncs tempo with your DAW. There as so many great sources of professionally recorded drum kits these days which can be imported into DigiStix allowing you to build a catalog of your favourite sounds. Alternatively use the built in sampler to record your very own kits. DigiStix has 16 assignable pads which can be quickly mapped to individual drum samples or recordings. Each pad has it's own volume level, panning, reverb, delay, reverse and sample length settings. You can assign each pad to a mute group which allow for instance a closed hi-hat to mute an open high hat etc. Each pad can be assigned a one shot or looped sample. This enables you to import pre-looped samples at a specified BPM and have them play when a pad is pressed. You can also import up to 3 samples per pad and use in multi-sample mode which allows different velocity levels to trigger different pads etc. One great feature of DigiStix is the ability to none destructively assign samples from different kits to the pads for live performance and song creation. We also provide an intelligent melodic mapping mode which maps selected samples over all 16 pads tuned to a selected key and scale. The inbuilt sequencer allows patterns of up to 64 beats in length. Each pattern can have it's own time signature allowing complex arrangements can be constructed. Up to 256 patterns can be chained together to make a soung which are saved independently of the kits. The pattern editor also allows you to enter 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16th note triplets as well as reverse sample and accented notes. We provide easy velocity editing with 'draw in' drum rolls etc. DigiStix also features a 16 channel mixer, configurable digital delay, reverb, chorus / flanger, bit crunch, overdrive, 8 band EQ and digital filtering options (HP and LP filters). Each drum pad can be mapped to an external MIDI trigger allowing external drum pads to be connected if you wish. Can you Please add a setting where we can reverse position of the pads like you did on DigiStix2 you don’t have to modify the app if you don’t have a button for it just add it in the Settings app

This is a very intuitive and flexible app. It’s well laid out and has lots of great drumkit sounds for all musical tastes. As an AUV3 plug-in it’s also very easy to use. However, there is one maddening thing. When I set the 8th note swing to 100% on a 4/4 meter, it does not produce the proper swing effect of a 12/8 meter. In the long-short pattern of a beat, the long note is slightly shorter than two thirds of the beat and the short note is slightly longer one third. I have tried resolving this by using a 6/8 time meter instead. This produces the swing effect, but the metronome’s BPM still only measures quarter notes. I cannot find a way to make it measure the triplets. This makes the app not ideal for slower swing rhythms especially when synching with some AUV3 hosts. Will give 5 stars if the developers can offer a solution to this.

For one, I think the drum kits all sound like garbage. I hate that high-torque smack snare drum sound. Even when you try to tune it down, then it sounds lull flat like a snare drum you would buy at the Salvation Army, or the Goodwill. For having so many parameters and points of adjustment for tuning, there is very little flexibility. You’re stuck with what is basically the stock drum sound… you just get it in different pitches The delay and the reverb, neither work at all. The flanger is okay, but there is no adjusting the timing, only the saturation. For creating beats and arranging them, it’s very difficult. This day and age, applications should be self-explanatory. This one is isn’t. Just when you think you have it figured you, you realize you screwed it all up And the beats i cannot get them to save despite receiving the confirmation that it was saved. I go to open it, and nothing Yeah, this application is highly overrated. I warned you all

Small fixes can be a huge improvement. Currently editing song chain does not work.

more editing options starring with a 1. UNDO button for when a wrong option its made in editing, (because right now if you do the wrong thing at editing window, you got to start all over again because there ain’t no undo button) 2. AUTO TRIGGER option on the pad for when working on a DAW host with trap style triplets. 1/8 1/32 1/64 on hihats or snare or ect 3. root note, start range and end ranger keyboard option for when for you want to pitch up or down a hihat sample or any sample specially 808 bass samples which i know it wasn't really meant for bass sample but with a root key options it would do the job and with that on mind, a note glide option too. 4. stereo to mono option on the editing window for when importing user samples from drum kits sample that should be mono but it was recorded stereo like a kick, snare or hihats DigiStix drummer its a good app, but it can be great and even the perfect auv3 for drum kits samples if it has does options, and maybe a couple more options which i cant think right now, and if that happens DIGISTIX drummer will be the only drum sampler in the store that any body will need in any Daw or as a standalone app.. ........... new comment 10-13-20 the uv meters not working properly in cubasis as an auv3 like for a sample, when i put for kick on the down beat the uv meters doesn’t move on rhythm, the just move all like its broken and sometimes they don’t move at all im guessing it’s a bug

I paid for this app because it specifically states in the description that it allows for round-robin functionality. Although I found where to turn it on, there's no way (that I can find) to stack the sample layers to allow for this. And in the help section of the app, there's no mention of it. The 4pockets.com website appears to be from several years ago with absolutely nothing on there about this app. I wasted my money basically, unless someone can explain how to get round robin to work.

would even shine brighter if: - it was possible to switch patterns via Midi Program Change (like in Digikeys) - if you could group notes for probability (if Tom1 isn’t played, Tom2 also will not be, for example)

With all the updates it has received this is my favourite auv3 drum machine. Only one issue: In Cubasis 3 it often fails to load when reopening projects (I don’t know who is at fault). Apart from that all good.
