The Mediterranean diet may help you lose weight, offer cancer prevention, diabetes management, and most importantly brain & cardiovascular health. It is very similar to every other "healthy" diet, since most other ones draw their inspiration from this diet. You will eat lots of vegetables, whole-grains, legumes and nuts, fruits, fish, some poultry & low-fat dairy, tons of olive oil & herbs/spices, a few weekly eggs, and some wine (if that's your thing). On the other hand, you will restrict red meat, saturated fats, sweets, and processed foods. The Mediterranean diet is so good for you health because you are getting ample amounts of healthy fats (olive oil, fish, nuts), vitamins, antioxidants & fiber (fruits, veggies, herbs/spices, whole grains and legumes). Conversely you are removing foods that have been scientifically studied to increase our risk of disease like saturated fat and processed sugar. Even if you ignore the observational aspect of the Mediterranean populations' longevity, the diet is basically what medical doctors and nutritionist will recommended to you because it is nutritionally solid and does not require crazy restrictions or abnormal eating habits. I downloaded this app for recipes but the recipe page doesn’t load. So- no recipes. Not a single one. Been trying over a week. What a waste.

All in all I liked the app. and I understand they have to make money. But the advertising is one to two times per entry depending upon how much you’re entering. My wife has an app that I switched to because. No advertising. I mean it. I’ll pop up on the page but you can still enter things while it’s there. This app. The Mediterranean app there’s a lot of advertising for stupid games. So you have to watch the mini video.

Only seems to track protein, fat, carbs. My Fitness Pal is more comprehensive.

Downloaded to start tracking (I have used CarbManager and MyFitnessPal in the past) I was very hopeful but it doesn’t seem to be very refined yet. Keep working on it and I’ll definitely be on board once the glitches are worked out. Til then I’m back to CarbManager!

Really crappy app I downloaded it to compare to others and I can’t even get past the setup screens. They are always offset on the phone and keeps locking up and I’m using an iPhone 14 sooo it’s not my phone. All other apps work properly but this one. I guess you get what you pay for. To frustrating to use so highly DO NOT RECOMMEND…

Signed up to this app with great expectation unfortunately it did not live up to them. Very misleading title! The recipes are not Mediterranean for example there are deep fried recipes! And a lack of olive oi! If you use a recipe you can’t link it to your meal planning and it doesn’t find it when you type it in word for word ?? The food data base is American and doesn’t recognise common uk foods at all this is great if you are American but I am not so I found this extremely frustrating and annoying. There is lots of information on macros etc if you like that but I’m not interested in those I just thought I had subscribed to a Mediterranean diet recipe App but feel totally mislead. I have messaged them three times on the help / feedback thread requesting a refund but have still not heard back I have now gone through Apple to request my refund.
Yeah, I'm a nerd, so sue me.

Easily the worst meal tracker I’ve ever used. One wrong move and the entire meal you’re trying to add is gone. Save yourself some aggravation and use something, anything, else.

This is NOT a good app and certainly not one worth paying for. The Mediterranean diet is supposed to limit poultry and red meat, yet the recipe menus contain these daily. Plus, you can’t customize for dietary restrictions. As a pescatarian, I was hoping this would simplify my meal planning, but the recipes are very neat intensive, which doesn’t seem aligned with the healthy Mediterranean diet.
