Description (

Firefight is a World War II real-time simulation game with more AI and attention to detail than any other game in its genre to date. Tanks are modelled with a physics engine and have gears, rev counters and speedos, and steer themselves with brake levers to give them realistic looking tracked vehicle movement. Each bullet, shell or piece of shrapnel is modelled in 3D and ricochets realistically off sloping surfaces. You can see each infantryman's rank, name, weapon, ammunition remaining, heart rate and fatigue levels. Machine gunners will call for ammunition when they're running low and other squad members will rush over with spare ammo if they are carrying any. Wounded men call for medics who will sprint over to administer first aid. Off-board artillery can be called in but will have to fire several ranging shots before the full 8 gun battery opens fire simultaneously. Play against either the sophisticated built-in AI, or a friend over the internet. For a video showing the game in action see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysRtdalURDw}

please could you give us a command button that specifically tells the tanks to ignore the infantry, it is incredibly irritating to send a tank toward location of enemy tank only for my tank’s turret to be facing the wrong way because it wants to shoot infantry

I love this game with a passion. I would pay a significant amount of money for a modern combat version of this game with similar game mechanics.

I’ve always enjoyed these games and would really like to see a modern conflicts version. Gulf wars and Middle Eastern conflicts etc.

I’ve really enjoyed playing Firefight, and I love the realism and detail put into the game’s mechanics and strategy. However, I feel like the game could offer more variety in terms of features and activities outside of the main battles. One example is the mobile chess game, which has a lot of different ways for players to engage beyond just the main gameplay. In the chess app, you can solve puzzles, test your skills with different challenges, watch matches between other players, and more. It creates this full experience where you’re always improving and finding new ways to engage with the game. I think if Firefight could implement similar features – like tactical puzzles, battle challenges, or even a way to watch other players’ matches or tactics – it would make the game feel more complete and engaging. This added depth could make Firefight more than just a game; it could feel like a full-on WWII tactical experience where players are constantly learning and testing their skills. I think a lot of players would really appreciate these kinds of features, and it would add a new dimension to the game. I understand doing this would be a project but I feel like this would bring in a lot of people and something new to the tactical military community. People love sharing their strategies, especially in games that require some skill, planning, or clever thinking. It’s like showing off your personal style, but with gameplay. When players find a way to outsmart their opponent or pull off a tricky maneuver, sharing it is a way of saying, “Look at what I figured out.” Here’s why people are drawn to that: 1.Pride in Skill: When you pull off a smart move or win a tough battle, it’s satisfying to know you succeeded because of your own skill or creativity. Sharing strategies lets people showcase what they’ve mastered, and in games that involve deep thinking, there’s a lot of pride in that. 2.Recognition and Validation: It feels good when others see your strategy and recognize it as clever or impressive. In a way, it’s like getting credit for being innovative or resourceful, which taps into that human need for a little validation and admiration. 3.Learning and Growth: Strategy sharing also fosters a community where people can learn from each other. When a player sees someone else’s successful strategy, it’s like an aha moment—they get inspired or see something they hadn’t thought of. It’s a win-win because the player gets to show off, and others get to learn and improve from watching. 4.Competitive Spirit: For competitive players, sharing strategies isn’t just about showing off—it’s about challenging others. It’s like saying, “This is my move; can you top it?” There’s a thrill in the back-and-forth of strategic one-upmanship. 5.Community and Belonging: Sharing strategies also builds a sense of community. When players post about their strategies, they’re contributing to the game’s culture and making it more engaging for everyone. It gives them a place to connect over shared experiences, like figuring out tactics or discussing what works best.

I have gotten all the maps for the game and the recent updates have got me back into playing, but there are a few things I would like to see implemented. A mode where you can pick and choose both armies to have a more immersive experience and plan out massive battles your own way. The ability to have engineers to build defenses if they are defending would be sick. Maybe air support like bombers and five bombers would be sick, and an addition to the squad dynamic to split people into teams like Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta. However I know coding is tedious work and I appreciate how much work you are putting into the game, I hope to see more in the future. Thanks so much. P.S. A roadmap would be good so we can expect what there is to come and you can hype up the community with updates that we know about.

I love this game, I play it constantly. I make my own scenarios like WW3, because once WW2 was over there was a lot of tension in the later part of the 1940s. I also think that a WW1 version to this game would be fun. Just thinking of the shotguns used by American Marines excites me and wishing there was a WW1 version. I beg of you to make one. I would lose too many hours of my life to it lol. Anyways, I love the game, and I recommend it.

Richtig Geiles Spiel!

Nice game as always. But then they must keep most mission as free not all mission should be costly and always play the tutorial
