UPDATE 02/26/25 THANK YOU FOR LISTENING AND FOLLOWING UP! The app now supports landscape mode. Changing my rating from 1 star to 5. So excited to start using your app for news. Developers of this app, you know what year it is? Let me remind you it’s 2025 !!! Why this app doesn’t work in landscape mode? Do you assume that people only read news on their phones ? That assumption is very wrong. It is so much easier to read the news on tablet’s bigger screen and in landscape mode. That’s why many of us not using your app, but reading news on apps of the other local news stations. Look around, there is no apps anymore who doesn’t provide both portrait and landscape mode. Even your own weather app allows both modes. Can you please make your app present-day app.

Developers of this app, you know what year it is? Let me remind you it’s 2025 !!! Why this app doesn’t work in landscape mode? Do you assume that people only read news on their phones ? That assumption is very wrong. It is so much easier to read the news on tablet’s bigger screen and in landscape mode. That’s why many of us not using your app, but reading news on apps of the other local news stations. Look around, there is no apps anymore who doesn’t provide both portrait and landscape mode. 06/02/24 your app stopped loading. Uninstalled and reinstalled it. Rebooted my devices (iPad and iPhone). My iOS is the latest. My connection is good. Your app just stuck on black screen with your logo. 09/25/20 Notifications from your app can not be cleared. Swiping your notifications to the left, like all notifications from other apps is not working. When trying to swipe - whole screen is moving to the left on iPad to the camera app. It happens only with notifications from your app, all others are fine. 08/09/19 With each update I hope that you finally listen to many, many complaints and made changes to enable landscape mode, but it’s not the case again. I am not using your app until you do. 06/01/19 I received notification about new story in notifications center, I click on it right there (in notifications center) and where am I taken? Logically to the story right? WRONG! You app opens at the place where I was on my last visit of your app. In this case “explore” tab. Ok, I go to the news feed to look at the story you notified me about- nope, not there. Based on notification I know it’s a local story, ok, let’s try going to the tab for local news-no luck there either. Why did you notify me about the story which doesn’t exist in your app. When will you fix all your bugs, at least the most obvious ones? This is so frustrating !!! 01/29/19 your app is just getting worse and worse. You need to find new developers. App is not connecting, even when my connection is strong (all other apps connecting just fine). You sent me notification-for school closing and when I click on it, and when your app is finally loading I see newsfeed with no school closing anywhere to be found, so I use search in your app, for school closing and returned results are some very old news stories... Dear local 12, your app is not to current standards, not even close. (Sorry). 08/01/18 this app is only app in whole universe which doesn’t support landscape mode for iPad. It’s unbelievable!!! What century are you in? I would like to be able to switch between portrait and landscape mode. Please make this app available in landscape mode ******* 11/19/22 - your app is only app in whole world which can’t be used in landscape mode. No matter how many users complain about it (just look in reviews), you stubbornly don’t want to do it. Is it how you care about users of your app? Just unbelievable in this day and age.

I have never had a problem with this app before. This week I haven’t been able to open it. I’ve deleted it and reopened thinking it might help, but nothing. I’m going to delete it and unfortunately go with channel 9. Not happy about that.

Installed the most recent update and now the app does not launch. It only shows a Local 12 banner and never gets past that screen.

Don’t get me wrong, I love WKRC but their news app sadly disappoints. Specifically the search function. You watch the news they tell you to check the app. Then you can find no reference to said story. I would normally chalk it up to user error if it wasn’t so prevalent. Watch WKRC. You’ll love the fair and I believe honest reporting. But look elsewhere if you need to revisit a local story after the broadcast.

As much as I like 12 News I am frustrated with the extremely poor quality of this app. It requires extensive advertising viewing and the live stream is jerky at best. I am deleting!

The news feed attempts to play for a split second then goes to a blank screen. This is normally when an ad plays but rather than an ad, nothing happens.

The app keeps auto playing ads without trying to watch video feeds.
