Are you a sail or power boater that lives in the Vancouver, Canada and surrounding areas or are you just visiting Vancouver Canada and want to know about our boating?
Vancouver Boating app gives you all the information you need to enjoy the water.
We provide a list of sailing clubs, marinas, part suppliers, repair shops, chartering and weather conditions so that you can enjoy that perfect day.
A new maps feature provides users with green pins indicating where landmarks/marinas are located around Vancouver.
User submitted obstructions and dead heads are marked in red.
As you approach a green or red pin, a message is displayed on your device giving you the option of viewing it's location on the map or to view more information.
The community can suggest landmarks to be added using the 'contact us' tab of the app
Users can submit dead heads or obstructions they find in the water that are not mapped. A dead head is a log or obstruction in the water which could be dangerous for boaters. When you find a dead head in the water, send us the Longitude and Latitude using the 'Contact Us' feature.
When boaters pass within 100 feet of the dead head, a message from the app will appear warning them of it's presence. Boating safe matters for everyone.
Follow our 'Living The Life' blogger Craig Bowman from 'Cruising Off Duty', to see what it's like to live a life onboard a boat as he moves towards leaving land for good. Very informative and always changing.
Our boating apps are available for Ottawa, Georgian Bay, Toronto, Canada with others being added.
