Central Greece region is an app for discovering the nature, the trails and the culture of Central Greece (Sterea Ellada). It includes routes, text, and photos and provides active navigation on hundred of hiking routes.
The free version offers the complete routing for E4 European Trail and O22 National Trail, divided into daily sections.
The following regions are offered via in-app purchases:
• Mt Parnassos: 23 hiking, 8 mountain biking and 4 trail running routes
• Mt Giona: 14 hiking routes
• Mt Oeta: 22 hiking routes
• Mt Vardousia: 12 hiking routes
• Mt Elikonas: 23 hiking routes
• Mt Dirfys: 26 hiking, 3 mountain biking and 2 trail running routes
Each region comes with detailed offline maps and an extensive introduction on geography, the nature and the monuments of the area. The app also offers a useful list of hundreds of POIs with a search engine.
On the field, the app identifies the nearest adventure and provides active navigation on the path, displaying messages and warnings on every junction or other important location. On each Point of Interest, photos and texts are displayed on the map. If the hiker gets off-trail, the app indicates the shorter way to get back safely.
The cartographic company AnaDigit, creator of the application, has issued previously hundreds of hiking maps for Greece. To build the application and ensure data accuracy, all paths have been recorded again during 2015-2019.}
