The Scheme is implemented across the country covering all the eligible children without any discrimination of gender and social class. The main objectives of the PM POSHAN Scheme (earlier known as Mid-Day Meal Scheme) are to address two of the pressing problems for majority of children in India, viz. hunger and education by improving the nutritional status of eligible children said schools as well as encouraging poor children, belonging to disadvantaged sections, to attend school more regularly and help them concentrate on classroom activities.
In Odisha around 63 lakhs of students in elementary education to feed with mid day meal under PM-POSHAN scheme. Govt. of Odisha in association with NIC has come-up with a solution, in form of web & mobile APP named ePMP, for monitoring & implementation of this scheme throughout the state. This application collects data using mobile app from field functionaries on daily data through SMS like number of beneficiaries served, PMP not served with reason, cook-cum-helper present or absent(with reason). These data flow from school to block to district then to state with notifying all concern authority. Based on the data delivered through this app Dashboard Analysis presented to the authority in there web app for decision making.}
