Description (

The FreeStyle Libre 3 app is cleared for use with the FreeStyle Libre 3 system sensors. The newest member of the FreeStyle Libre family is the most advanced continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology designed to help you make progress: • Your glucose in real time, anytime [1]. • Be notified the minute your glucose is too low or high. Optional alarms[2] help you know when to take action. • Real-time readings updated every minute—5x faster than any other CGMs[3]. • Get detailed reports, including your time in range, to better understand your glucose trends and patterns. COMPATIBILITY You can only use the FreeStyle Libre 3 app with the FreeStyle Libre 3 system sensors. It is not compatible with FreeStyle Libre or FreeStyle Libre 2 Family of Sensors. Compatibility may vary between smartphones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible smartphones at www.FreeStyleLibre.com. APP INFORMATION The FreeStyle Libre 3 app is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with the FreeStyle Libre 3 system sensors. For more information on how to use the FreeStyle Libre 3 app, please refer to the User’s Manual. Consult a healthcare professional to confirm if this product is right for you or if you have questions about how to use this product to make treatment decisions. [1] A 60-minute warm-up is required when applying the sensor. [2] Notifications will only be received when alarms are turned on and the sensor is within [30 feet or 10 meters] unobstructed of the reading device. You must enable the appropriate settings on your smartphone to receive alarms and alerts. See the FreeStyle Libre 3 User’s Manual for more information. [3] The user’s device must have internet connectivity for glucose data to automatically upload to LibreView. The sensor housing, FreeStyle, Libre, and related brand marks are marks of Abbott. Other trademarks are the property of their respective owners. For additional legal notices and terms of use, go to www.FreeStyleLibre.com. Before using the app, review product labeling and the interactive tutorial at https://www.freestyle.abbott/us-en/support.html#app3. ======== To resolve any technical or Customer Service issues you are having with a FreeStyle Libre product, please contact FreeStyle Libre Customer Service directly. }

Coming from Dexcom G7 and using their app on iOS I’d say the Freestyle app is literally junk compared to Dexcom. To start the sensor warm up time, no custom tones, and the amount of data. After my Freestyles run out will definitely return to Dexcom.

I’m having a bad time with this sensor now can’t get to talk with anyone about this issue so I’m going to have to give them a bad review right now

I have had four or five sensors actually go bad and not work. One was pretty much immediate. Some of the others have lasted for like a day or two and then all of a sudden they just lost connection stopped working. I called in gave them all the required information sent everything in like I was supposed to never got a replacement and this has happened more than once after the second or third time I stopped bothering it just wasn’t worth it. You can tell the company just doesn’t care.

This app could be SO much more user friendly! These are my top three complaints: 1. Graph only shows current day - you can’t swipe to see last night or yesterday. To see previous days, you have to open the menu, choose “daily graphs,” then pick a date. In this view you can’t tap the graph to see what the glucose level was at a particular point - you just have to estimate from the numbers on the axes of the graph. 2. You can add notes and record food, but you can’t read them from the “daily graphs” view. To read the notes you have to open the menu again and go to “logbook,” then scroll through dates and pick from a list of entries made on that date to see what they say. 3. There isn’t a way to display either a graph or the current glucose level on the Lock Screen.

Great app when working, but having consistent bluetooth connectivity issues. Wondering if perhaps the app needs an update to work better with the latest IOS 26.2?

I would like to see the following features: 1. I would like to be able to touch a point on the curve and have the actual value appear. 2. I would like to be able to choose the time of the day when I write a note and then move it backward to reflect the actual time of the meal. 3. I would like for the app to interface with another app. I have called “Lose it“ so I do not have to keep from one app into the other.

Dec 2025 update: I waited 4 months for app update and it still does not work again. Will not scan the sensor and appears that no iOS updates were made. BEFORE you put the sensor in your arm. In the app go to help, and down to phone and OS capability. It will tell you you’re screwed before you jam that thing in your arm. Original post: This is a great app and was really able to help me understand my diabetes within a year I was able to get my A1C from 11.5 down to 6.1 with this device/app and only one medication. When you call for help for a sensor not working or it fell/got ripped off, you can call and usually get a replacement. Due to this I usually make sure I always have 2 at all times. The issue I am having with the app is that if your phone updates (even when you repeatedly turn off automatic updates) it most likely will not work with the new update. This has been my case since the pharmacy issued me the new plus sensors. The company will still send you out a replacement if you need, but until the app gets updated again and you can actually scan the sensor so it starts working, you have no choice and will be unable to use the sensors with the app. As of the day I am writing this, Oct. 25, 2005, the app has not been updated in 3 months. Be prepared for situations like this.

So far 0 for 2 sensor failed. 1 lasted for 3 hours and the other failed instantly! $75 for for 2, I don’t think so!
