Continuous Glucose Monitoring
Description (

The FreeStyle Libre 3 app is cleared for use with FreeStyle Libre 3 system sensors and FreeStyle Libre Select sensors. The newest member of the FreeStyle Libre family is the most advanced continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology designed to help you make progress: • Your glucose in real time, anytime [1]. • Be notified the minute glucose is too low or too high. Optional alarms[2] help you know when to take action. • Real-time readings updated every minute—5x faster than any other CGMs[3]. • Get detailed reports, including your time in range, to better understand your glucose trends and patterns. COMPATIBILITY You can only use the FreeStyle Libre 3 app with FreeStyle Libre 3 system sensors and the FreeStyle Libre Select sensor. It is not compatible with FreeStyle Libre or FreeStyle Libre 2 Family of Sensors. Compatibility may vary between smartphones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible smartphones at www.FreeStyleLibre.com. APP INFORMATION The FreeStyle Libre 3 app is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with FreeStyle Libre 3 system sensors or the FreeStyle Libre Select sensor. For more information on how to use the FreeStyle Libre 3 app, please refer to the User’s Manual. Consult a health care professional to confirm this product is right for you or for questions on how to use it for treatment decisions. [1] A 60-minute warm-up is required when applying the sensor. [2] Notifications will only be received when alarms are turned on and the sensor is within [30 feet or 10 metres] unobstructed of the reading device. You must enable the appropriate settings on your smartphone to receive alarms and alerts. See the FreeStyle Libre 3 User’s Manual for more information. [3] The user’s device must have internet connectivity for glucose data to automatically upload to LibreView. The sensor housing, FreeStyle, Libre, and related brand marks are marks of Abbott. I started using the Libre 3 plus sensor 2 weeks ago and am seriously considering going back to Dexcom. The app is awful and the sensors are worse than the Libre 2. I am currently on my 5th sensor and have already had to delete and reinstall the app twice. Absolute joke.
Loving these apps!

The app works well, is stable but the alarms are problematic. Only two alarms are possible and once an alarm is silenced….thats it! As diabetics you need to be able to decide on a period to turn the alarm off for before it re-alarms, this is especially essential at night. The alarms need to be more flexible and adjustable, suggest the developer has a look at xdrip4ios which also has great alarm adjustability. Notifications would be useful too, which allows all watches to get blood sugar notifications easily. Being able to set these up so they are given at regular intervals is hugely useful. These notifications could also be spoken, very useful for those not able to look at their phones frequently or who do not have a smartwatch.

i have had The Libra sensors since it has come out I currently am using the Libre 3 sensor which is a big improvement on the labra to system, though I am waiting for the new update to come through to be able to read smart insulin pen dosages libra currently is better than the decks.,com as the Libre system is more accurate gives you minute by minute readings and is smaller than decks com however I do agree, libra are missing out on some features such as readings being seen on an Apple Watch and would be good if The warm up time was improved from one hour to 30 minutes. Also it would be good. you could glance at your lock screen and have the reading there instead of unlocking your phone in order to Open the app up and see what is going on Abbott is rather slow at keeping software up to date. Still having issues with the app. Could you improve on keeping the app up to date as the current software is not compatible on the iPhone 16 pro max. That’s in regards to the Libre 3

Please resolve this bug - not been fixed in 5 updates & highly annoying. At times, when you go to add a note, the ‘add note’ on the glucose daily monitoring screen - the button does not respond, not unless you access another part of the app or force the app to close. I’ve flagged this previously, but still evident and it’s wearing thin on my patience now.

It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but it works, the connection is stable and it’s practically a miracle that we can read blood sugar readings on our phones.

Provides no granular detail - the graph is decorative only, doesn’t zoom in or show time stamps Totally useless app - shame as the device itself is tiny and way more comfortable than the 2 and other similar size ones. I ll see if i get better insights with other apps - otherwise i ll go to Dexcom

So to be clear, it works ok but it is far from perfect. Firstly and most importantly, there is no way to snooze alarms so once you acknowledge an alarm, that’s it. No more alarms for that event. Even if the cause persists. There are no badges or means to see the BG at a glance without opening the app. Also there is no means to show data on an Apple Watch. There is no option to get levels by scanning once the sensor is started so we are 100% reliant on perfect Bluetooth connection, which is less reliable than on the FSL2. Abbott you CAN do better. PLEASE.

This app is really good for checking my glucose and is much easier then carrying a scanner (blood reader) but as a suggestion could you try and increase the radius as I keep my phone on me but it does quite frequent/random signal losses.

The sensor worked for a few hours then stopped, and the started giving super low readings. Trying to get help through the app and website was super painful. I feel I’ve wasted 80chfs. So disappointed.
