Continuous Glucose Monitoring
Description (
Characters: 3103 of 4000
)
See your glucose number and where it’s heading with just a quick glance at your compatible smart device* with the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System – Approved for diabetes treatment decisions with zero fingersticks†, no scanning, and no calibration. Discuss with your healthcare professional how you should use the information displayed on the Dexcom G6 to help manage your diabetes. *For a list of compatible smart devices, please visit dexcom.com/compatibility. †If your glucose alerts and readings from the Dexcom G6 do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions. Only use this app if you have the Dexcom G6 CGM System. Dexcom G6 provides real-time glucose readings as frequently as every five minutes. Dexcom G6 is approved for children age 2 and older. The Dexcom G6 System provides personalized trend alerts right on your smart device and lets you see when your glucose levels are going too low, or too high, so you can better manage your diabetes. The Alert Schedule feature lets you schedule and customize a second set of alerts. Custom alert sounds are available, including a Vibrate-Only option on the phone for glucose alerts. The only exception is the Urgent Low Alarm, which you can’t turn off. The Always Sound setting allows you to receive certain Dexcom CGM Alerts even if your phone sound is off, set to vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This will allow you to silence calls or texts but still receive audible CGM Urgent Low Alarm and alerts: Low and High Glucose alert, Urgent Low Soon, and Rise and Fall Rate. Please note that when your phone is set to Silent or Do Not Disturb, you will not receive any audible alerts for Signal Loss. Always Sound is on by default. A Home screen icon shows you if your Alerts will sound or not. For safety, the Urgent Low alarm and these alerts can’t be silenced: Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped. In addition to the accurate performance provided by the Dexcom Sensor, you’ll receive other valuable features: • Share your glucose data with your followers who can monitor your glucose data and trends on their compatible smart device with the Dexcom Follow app. Share and Follow functions require an internet connection • Health app access so you can share retrospective glucose data with third party apps • Today View widget, which allows you to view your glucose data on the lock screen of your smart device • Ask Siri* to read your current glucose value, using a custom phrase • A Dexcom CLARITY link on the landscape trend graph lets you easily transition to the CLARITY App to view more information on your glucose trends *Siri may not be available in all regions. Check Apple’s website to see if Siri is available in your country. Apple Watch View your glucose information, trend graph, and alerts and alarms right from your wrist with the Dexcom G6 Apple Watch app. Watches require compatible smart device to use app. • Dexcom G6 watch face complications allow you to view your glucose number and arrow from your watch face}

How can a company that develops medical equipment develop an app that is so unreliable and buggy? Lives are literally at stake and Dexcom insists on cheaping out in their development. I’d change to Freestyle if they were any better.

Hi Dexcom, I’m not sure what you’ve done with this last update, but the app is now less functional than before. When I open the app I can see for a split second that is has not loaded any glucose data since the last time I opened the app. It is also no longer pushing glucose data to my watch, until after I have opened the phone app. This is a significant step backwards.

Error” there was a problem communicating with the app” occurring in shortcuts. I have reinstalled Dexcom G6 app & reinstalled Shortcuts app & reconfigured shortcut from Dexcom app and Shortcut app and still broken. This occurred after the last app update. This shouldn’t happen to medical devices. Please patch this bug. You tech support team unable to assist. iPhone 16 pro max IOS 18.7.1 and now 26.0.1

Since the recent update I’m no longer able to have my blood glucose readings on the lock screen of my phone (how I usually check it without opening it and going into the app) because it’s no longer there when I go to add widgets?! The same was for my Apple Watch, the widget wasn’t working for a while, I updated my Apple Watch and it’s working now however, I’ve updated my phone to the newest IOS and it hasn’t fixed anything. Hoping it’s not related to the new G7 being out and this app dying because there’s a new one.. because honestly if saving all thats spent on selling us these money making devices/ equipment to keep us alive was used on an actual ******* cure like stem cell etc, we wouldn’t be having any of these problems thanks

For the love of god PLEASE fix this app. It continuously switches to landscape mode requiring the user to press the button to rotate it back. I do not understand why this app is so poorly tested & maintained.

This app is getting zero support now that G7 is out (monthly G7 updates compared to 10 months and counting). Ongoing messages that “we’re still testing on this iOS” (over 12 months now), I mean it literally says do not rely on it to make decisions. The widget has broken and wasn’t fixed in last update. Won’t shut up when sugar’s are high, but don’t find out I’m low until it’s too late - settings don’t change this. If this thing had only one job it would be to alert users *before* they are low, and it doesn’t do this consistently. Rate of change alerts don’t occur even when changes cross the alert threshold. But our government heavily subsidises G6 so I guess there’s no reason to stay on top of it any more? Terrible terrible terrible and dangerous to health.

I was really hoping to see some sort of UX upgrade in the latest release. Unfortunately it has gone backwards and the app just logged me out of Dexcom share after about 7 days. This particular security architect needs their head read. It also no longer works with Siri, and confidently says my blood is 5.5 when it is not, and has no chart. I use this app only to pull data from their device, and then use the Jade Diabetes App for my logging, reporting, Alexa etc

I don’t know what’s happened to this app but it is so damn buggy and laggy. Everything used to be smooth and happen straight away but now I’m constantly having problems or having to wait ages for the screen to load up properly. Also still mad that you guys removed the widget that you could have next to the Lock Screen. I called the developers months ago asking about that problem and you guys said you’d have it sorted in about 6 weeks but it’s been like 4 months. Y’all need to pick up your game
