Welcome to the ShastaConnect mobile rider app – the official app for riders of ShastaConnect transit services in Shasta County. Let us help connect you to the people and places that matter most to you.
Currently, this app is for use to ride our prescheduled curb-to-curb Sunday transit service as well as the CTSA Monday - Friday service. Stay tuned!
Who We Are
ShastaConnect provides specialized public transportation services in Shasta County, generally outside of the fixed-route transit system operated by the Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA). ShastaConnect is operated by Dignity Health Connected Living (DHCL). It is funded and supported by the Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA).
Areas We Serve
Currently, you can use the app to request a shared ride for transit services on Sundays and our CTSA Monday - Friday service. We will be constantly evaluating the service and looking to make improvements.
How Can I Request A Ride?
You can get a ride in three easy steps:
1. Download the App!
2. Create an account
3. Request a ride (anywhere in the service area)
Who Can Ride?
That’s the beauty of it. Anyone can ride! However, minors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
How Does It Work?
ShastaConnect is a convenient prescheduled transit service that takes multiple people heading in the same direction and transports them in a shared van or bus (i.e. a shared ride). Using the app, enter the address where you are at and your desired destination. Tell us approximately what time you would like to depart for your trip, or let us know if there is a specific time you need to be somewhere. We then match you with a vehicle going your way, give you an estimated trip duration, and then ask if you want to book the trip. Click “Book Trip” and we’ll take you to your destination.
ShastaConnect is convenient! When you book a trip, we will come right to where you are at and drop you off at the curb of your destination. No need to walk to a predetermined stop or wait out in the heat or cold. How awesome is that?
