Ting is an on-demand bus service which isn’t fixed to a specific route or timetable. It gives passengers the option to book an on-demand, tailor made service in real time by using the Ting-trips app, allowing people to order a bus to or from even the most remote locations. The system then diverts a bus to pick up that passenger, generally within less than half an hour, and each bus journey will be shared by several passengers. The route changes as more people book rides. All journeys need to have both the departure point and the destination in the defined operating zone, which currently covers all of West Hunts.
Bookings can be made up to seven days in advance of your journey - or just a few minutes ahead, just as you would a taxi in a town centre. The service uses real buses, not converted vans. Payment on the app is preferred. Please note that repeated failure to travel after booking rides could lead to a ban.}
